Simple seller menus for Discord. Create a shop with /mymenu, browse stores with /menus, and contact sellers directly.

Shopboard

Shopboard is a simple way to let people sell things directly through your Discord server.

Instead of setting up channels full of pinned messages, spreadsheets, or external websites, each seller gets their own menu. They can add what they sell, set prices, update availability, and manage everything themselves.

Anyone in the server can then browse the available shops and open a seller's menu in a couple of clicks.

Shopboard is built to stay simple. It is not trying to be a full ecommerce platform. There are no carts, payment systems, accounts, or complicated dashboards. It gives sellers a clean place to list what they offer, and gives buyers an easy way to find and contact them.

Getting started

There is very little setup needed.

Once Shopboard is in your server, anyone can create their own shop with:

/mymenu

The bot will ask for a shop name, a short description, and a default currency.

After that, sellers can add items and manage their menu from the same command.

Items can have:

  • A name
  • A description
  • A price
  • An availability status

Prices can be normal values like 250 NOK, or simple text such as Trade, Free, or DM for price.

Sellers can also mark items as unavailable without deleting them, and change the order of their listings whenever they want.

Browsing shops

To see all sellers in the server:

/menus

This shows a list of available shops. Click a seller to open their menu.

To view a specific seller directly:

/menu @user

Individual seller menus open privately, so browsing does not fill up the channel.

If the server has a default menu configured, simply using:

/menu

will show it publicly.

If no default is set, Shopboard falls back to showing the seller directory instead.

Contacting sellers

Every seller menu includes a Contact Seller button.

Buyers can send an optional message through the bot, and Shopboard will try to DM the seller.

If the seller cannot receive DMs from the bot, the buyer is shown their Discord username so they can contact them manually.

No order system is forced on either side. Once buyer and seller are in contact, they can handle the rest however they prefer.

Server controls

By default, everyone in the server can create a shop.

Server admins can use:

/menuadmin

to change this.

Admins can optionally:

  • Restrict selling to one Discord role
  • Create a server-owned menu
  • Choose what /menu shows by default
  • Use a seller's menu as the server default

This means Shopboard can work just as well for a completely open marketplace as it can for a server with approved sellers.

Good for

Shopboard works well for:

  • Community marketplaces
  • Game servers
  • Trading servers
  • Commissions
  • Digital services
  • Hobby communities
  • Small businesses
  • Local communities
  • Buy and sell groups
  • Anyone who wants a simple shop system inside Discord

If you just want an easy way for people in your server to list what they sell and let others find them, Shopboard is made for exactly that.
