Half-Blood Haven

꧁༒༺ The Gateway opens, you step through the portal and find a brief respite and sanctuary, this is Half-Blood Haven ༻༒꧂

In 2002 a US Navy Fleet encountered a creature they could not fight, Charybdis. Destroying 3 ships and damaging many others, the world was exposed to a truth they never expected to have to confront, the monsters of Myth were real.

Over the years these threat, classified as Abyssal Level threats (ALTs), grew in frequency and ferocity. Humanity was on the brink of defeat when the war turned in their favour. As came the monsters of myth, so too came the heroes. Demigods were propelled to the pinnacle of civilisation, saving humanity from the brink.

The Golden Age of Demigods flourished with the birth of the United World Government and their Demigod Corps, chosen through the God Lottery programme of blood testing, testing for Ichor, these heroes were trained to fight the greatest threats known to humanity.

However, as with Icarus, humanity flew too close to the sun, the Golden Age of Demigods was not to last. Following the tragedy of Times Square massacre, Demigods who once were worshipped as saviours and heroes, are now hunted by the very people they protected along with the very monsters we protected them against. The all seeing AI satellite network known as "DAMOCLES" searches day and night for the smallest traces of Ichor. We are not safe from even our own kind, Hounds, indoctrinated Demigods hunt us alongside the UWG.

This is not a world with happy endings. We fight for survival and we drag ourselves through the mud to achieve our victory.

Deep in the mountains of Appalachia, we rebuild and strike out.
