During the height of the 18th century, the grand capitals of the world are centers of unmatched progress, politics, and power. But when the mid-year sun hits the cobblestone streets, the air turns heavy with heat and the industrial smog of a modernizing world. For the high aristocracy, remaining in the city is unthinkable.

Every year, an elegant exodus takes place. Silk-lined carriages are packed with heavy leather trunks, silver tea services, and finest court attire. The destination is not just the countryside, but a world entirely of its own: The Rosewood Estate.

Here, the laws of the capital are replaced by the slower, more intimate rules of the woodland retreat.
