Isekai Hell

Isekai Hell is a persistent play-by-post fantasy roleplay where every character and story can leave a mark on the world.

Create nearly any character concept you can imagine. Whether you are an ambitious merchant, wandering knight, hedge mage, pirate captain, tribal hunter, noble heir, monster slayer, inventor, assassin, priest, scholar, or one of countless other professions, your journey begins with humble capabilities and grows through roleplay, exploration, and achievements.

Our custom progression system rewards the stories you tell with others (roleplays). Characters earn points they use to unlock new abilities and other opportunities. They also build up influence and relationships with each other and the wider world. Through growing power and influence, they gain armies, businesses, domains, powerful connections, secret knowledge, and secrets and sites few knew of before.

The world is shaped by the players. Historical events and wars, natural disasters, new technologies, etc...the players play a role and shaping how things unfold and turn out as well as instigating their own major events at times. Even small choices may lead to bigger impact.

We welcome character ideas from any race, culture, profession, or archetype. Most ideas are possible so ling as we find a way to fir them into the progression system we have. In the event something doesnt fit quite right, we also support proposals to the system that may make it more accommodating to more types of characters.

Things you'll find:

1. Roleplays without scheduled session times. Players take turns posting within a span set by those participating and continue to do so for weeks and months to finish one roleplay.

2. A high medieval fantasy setting with a blend of other cultures and technologies. Steampunk, magi-tech, and more.

3. Freedom to pursue your own goals with a character you designed and are developing as you play.

4. Opportunities to make decisions that have an impact on the world's story and how you and others are affected in turn.

We are beginner friendly to those looking to pick up the hobby of post roleplay.

We have new roleplays and characters going up regularly.

We do not demand a specific amount of words when posting but insist that you cover the basics: where is the character, what is it doing, what is it saying.

Characters must be approved before use.

Pvp is permitted but rare.

Permadeath and maiming is possible but only with agreement from roleplayer.

There are factions and sub factions.

Players may own land among other assets and live a 2nd life.

Magic is super common in the world.

Roleplays can span several regions and times all at once. Characters are not stuck in one place but may only be in one roleplay at a time with a couple exceptions.

We host events each month outside of typical roleplays.
