Chaos City

It started with explosions that changed life. Something was released into the air, contaminated the water, and changed the city’s population overnight. Some people turned into beasts with no hope of regaining their humanity; some became humans with powers; some stayed the same. With powerful and aggressive beasts attacking everything in sight and superhumans using their abilities for evil, the city erupted into chaos. Some superhumans decided to fight back and use their abilities for good. Heroes turned up, some of them more like vigilantes. Some superhumans preferred to stay out of it and just used their abilities to rebuild the city. They repaired it as fast as it was destroyed. Scientists started working on enhancing humans to stand with beasts and superhumans. The people responsible for the change refused to stop working, letting the explosions linger and soon spread outside the city. The fire kept spreading; people wanted answers and a chance for peace to return. Was it too late for those?
