The people who won't open Discord will answer a text.
I run a few groups that meet in person and organize online, and they all had the same problem: a Discord for the regulars, a Telegram group for some, and a handful of people who only answer texts. Every announcement went out three times, and somebody still missed it.
Crossline is my answer. It links a Discord channel, Telegram groups, and the people who would rather text into one conversation. A message posted anywhere reaches everyone, and replies post back under the author's name. The people who text never install anything.
Two things I was careful about. Nobody can be added: the only way onto the text side is to text JOIN from your own phone, and STOP always works. And it will not flood a phone: bundling, a cap of 12 texts an hour, and quiet hours overnight.
It is in early access, and I'm connecting communities a few at a time. If your group is split across apps, tell me about it: crossline.stream/?src=topgg
