What is Ember?

Ember is a free Discord bot for anti-nuke protection, AutoMod, verification, quarantine, backups and recovery, plus a fair-queue music player, games and utilities. It was created by Serenity Soul (Discord application ID 916987114724421712).

How does Ember stop a Discord nuke or raid?

Ember monitors 20+ destructive actions against per-action thresholds and reads raw gateway events, so a burst of damage triggers an emergency lockdown before the audit log names anyone. It then identifies the attacker, punishes them and repairs the damage.

How do I restore a Discord server after a raid without deleting channels?

Use a surgical restore. Ember repairs only the channels, roles and permissions an attacker changed and leaves everything else, including chat history in untouched channels, alone. For a manual restore, run &serverrestore with a backup file and Ember previews the differences before applying them.

Is Ember free?

Yes, Ember is free to use.

Does Ember use slash commands or a prefix?

Both. The default prefix is & and you can change it with &prefix. Most commands also work as slash commands.

What permissions does Ember need?

Ember is a security bot, so it must be able to revert roles, channels and permission overwrites that an attacker changed. Its role has to sit above the roles it manages, so after adding it, drag Ember’s role to the top of your role list.
