Verification and alt detection that shows its work. Stops ban evaders, VPN abuse, and raids, with the reason behind every call.
Stop alts and ban evaders before they get in
Vidar is a verification and alt-detection bot for Discord. New members verify themselves at a quick web checkpoint, and Vidar checks their account, their connection, and their device, against everyone who has verified before. Clean accounts are permitted in automatically, and suspicious ones are held for review or denied, with your mod log noting exactly why.
That last bit is the whole point, really. Most alt bots will just flag a suspicious account and leave the decision to you, but Vidar lays out just why something is a concern, such as 'account created 2 days ago', 'same device as a banned member', or 'connecting through a VPN', so you can make an informed decision.
How Vidar works
A member joins, and is sent a private verification link by Vidar. 2. This takes them to a verification checkpoint, where they sign in to Discord. This takes just a few seconds.
Vidar then scores the account and approves, waits for review, or denies it. Approved members are given your verified role automatically.
If a member has their DMs locked, Vidar will post a button in your verification channel, and the link will be sent to them privately.
What Vidar catches
Alt accounts and ban evaders. New members are matched against existing ones by device fingerprint, IP address, and network. Strong matches to a banned account is denied.
VPNs, proxies, Tor, and datacenter IPs. These can be flagged, or denied outright, its up to you.
New and throwaway accounts. Age and other account indicators are fed into every score.
Spoofing and automation. Vidar detects faked browser identities, the fingerprint randomization that anti-detect browsers use, tampered browser functions, and headless bots.
Moderation features
A reason for every action, displayed in your log channel and the dashboard.
A review queue, for borderline cases. A person makes the final decision.
Appeals. Denied members can appeal, and your team can approve or deny the appeal in the dashboard.
A web dashboard, for settings, verification history, appeals, raid events, and analytics.
Webhook alerts, for when someone is denied, or a raid starts.
Raid protection
Vidar detects raids, using join speed, account age, and naming patterns. When a raid starts, it can be dealt with automatically. Your verification level is moved to 'highest', brand new accounts can be purged at arrival, and the system can automatically lift the lockdown when the window has passed. Moderators can also start or end a lockdown manually with /lockdown.
AI moderation
(On by default, and can be disabled at any time.)
Vidar detects scams and phishing, harassment, hate speech, threats, and spam, with optional image scanning. Most messages will pass a quick local check and be allowed through, with only the suspicious ones taken to the AI. Discord's Community Guidelines are weighted, your servers' own rules are layered on top, and you can choose different rules per channel or category. You can decide whether to delete, timeout, kick, ban, or just log. Server staff are never moderated.
Behavioral Overview
Run /overview on a member, and it will show their moderation history across all servers that they're a member of, and that Vidar is installed on. Bans, kicks, AutoMod blocks, removed messages, and alt orVPN attempts are all rolled into a single score. It only works on people your server deals with, and members can opt out at any time with /privacy.
Privacy
Vidar is designed to know as little as possible.
Raw IP addresses are never kept, they're turned into salted, one-way hashes when being checked.
Exact-IP hashes are deleted after 14 days, and other identity data is deleted after 90 days (or longer if on an Enterprise server, for extended analytics)
The checkpoint never reads your messages, DMs, or browsing history.
Every member can opt out of having a Behavioral Overview with /privacy.

Plans
The Free plan covers verification, alt detection within your server, checking for VPNs and proxies, detecting spoofing, raid protection, appeals, AI moderation, and the Behavioral Overview.
The Premium plan ($8/month or $80/year per server) adds a white-labeled checkpoint (your logo and colors), advanced analytics with CSV export, automatic bans for accounts which are linked to banned members, a quarantine role, scheduled re-verification, and digest alerts (daily or weekly, your choice.)
The Enterprise plan ($30/month or $300/year per server) adds the Global Threat Network (alt detection across every server on the network, plus a shared blocklist), a custom rules engine (allow and deny lists, country / network blocking, username patterns), a REST API with signed webhooks, and 12-month analytics.
Commands
/verify - get your verification link
/setup - open the dashboard (staff)

Getting started
Add Vidar to your server.
Run /setup to open the dashboard.
Choose your verified role, and optionally a hold role (the role new members get until they verify).
Choose a log channel for decisions and alerts.
In Server Settings, make sure Vidar's role is above those roles, so it can add or remove them.
Good to know
Brave isn't supported due to its browser fingerprint randomization. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari are all supported.
