The Story of Where It All Began

Long before this community existed, before there was a Discord server, before there were channels, usernames, messages, or even the idea of bringing strangers together online, there was a small fishing village near Niagara Falls.

That was where my father was born.

It was a small village built along the water, surrounded by nature and shaped by the lives of the people who lived there. The river was not simply part of the landscape. It was part of everyday life. Families lived beside it, worked around it, and built their futures around the place they called home.

For my father, it was the only world he knew.

Life was not perfect, but it was familiar. People knew one another, families lived close together, and there was a sense that the village would always be there. The water had been there long before them, and everyone assumed it would continue to be there long after them.

Then everything changed.

One day, a decision was made to build a dam. To the people making that decision, it may have been nothing more than a project, an investment, or a step toward progress. But for the people living there, it meant something completely different.

The water that had always been part of their lives was changed and redirected. The environment around the village began to transform. The place my father had known as home was slowly becoming something else.

What looked like progress from a distance had consequences for the people standing closest to it.

My family suffered.

Some became sick. Others were lost. The life that had once seemed permanent became uncertain, and the village that had once represented safety and belonging could no longer provide the same future.

Eventually, my father had no choice but to leave.

Leaving your home is not simply a matter of packing your belongings and walking away. You leave behind places that cannot be replaced, people you may never see again, memories that cannot be recreated. You can travel thousands of kilometers away, but part of you remains wherever your story began.

My father travelled to Scotland.

There, he found a place that reminded him, in some ways, of the world he had left behind. The landscape, the water, the feeling of being surrounded by nature, all gave him something familiar in a completely unfamiliar country.

But he did not want to spend his life simply running from the past.

He wanted to build something.

So he opened an agency.

It was a new beginning. After everything that had happened, he had the chance to create something that belonged to him. He worked, built relationships, and tried to create a future that was more stable than the one he had been forced to leave behind.

For a while, things went well.

Then life changed again.

Work eventually brought him to Italy, and once again he moved to a new country. Another language. Another culture. Another unfamiliar environment. Another attempt to begin again.

It seemed like another chapter in the same journey.

But life has a strange habit of testing people precisely when they believe they have finally found solid ground.

A crisis came.

The agency closed.

The stability disappeared.

The plans that had been built over years suddenly meant much less than they had before. Money became scarce, and the future became uncertain.

Eventually, we found ourselves living in a house far away from almost everything, surrounded by distance and uncertainty.

There were no guarantees that things would suddenly improve.

No secret plan waiting to save us.

No convenient ending like the ones you see in movies, where everything falls into place at exactly the right moment.

There was simply the reality of having to start again.

And somewhere in the middle of all of this, I started thinking about something that had nothing to do with money.

People.

I began thinking about how strange it is that the world contains billions of people, yet it can still be difficult to find the right ones.

You can live surrounded by people and still feel like you have nobody to talk to. You can move to a new place and suddenly realize that all the friendships and connections you once took for granted are somewhere else.

But the internet changes one thing.

Distance.

A person can be sitting on the other side of the world and still be able to talk to you within seconds.

That idea stayed with me.

What if I created a place where people could meet each other?

Not a place built around one specific game or one specific hobby, but a community where people could simply come together. A place where someone could join without knowing anyone and still have a chance to make friends.

That was the beginning of this server.

At first, it was only an idea.

Then it became a server.

And suddenly there was a place where people could actually meet.

The goal was never simply to collect members.

Numbers are easy to look at. A server can have hundreds, thousands, or even millions of people, but a number on a screen does not automatically create a community.

A community is created by the people inside it.

It is created when someone joins and says hello.

When someone answers.

When two strangers discover that they have the same interests.

When a random conversation turns into an inside joke.

When someone who joined without knowing anybody eventually realizes that they have friends there.

That is what I want this server to become.

A place where people can meet new people, make friends, talk about their interests, share experiences, laugh together, and build connections that would never have happened otherwise.

I also have another reason for wanting to build it.

One day, I want to build my own business.

But before I can build a successful business, I want to build something more important: a network of people.

I want to meet people who are ambitious, determined, creative, curious, and willing to work toward something bigger. People who have ideas and are not afraid to start with nothing. People who understand that success does not usually appear overnight.

I do not expect everyone who joins this server to become a business partner or a customer. That would be ridiculous. A Discord server is not a magical vending machine that spits out successful companies when you insert enough members.

What I want first is a group of people.

Friends.

People I can trust.

People who have their own ambitions.

People who want to grow.

People who want to create things instead of simply watching other people create them.

Because relationships can lead to opportunities.

A conversation can lead to an idea.

An idea can lead to a project.

A project can become a business.

And a person you met completely by chance can sometimes become one of the most important people in your life.

That is why this server matters to me.

It may look small right now.

Maybe you are reading this while there are only a few people inside.

Maybe the server counter is nowhere near the numbers of the biggest communities on Discord.

But that does not bother me.

Every large community was once small.

Every successful business once had its first customer.

Every friendship once began with two strangers.

And every story has a first chapter.

This is ours.

Maybe, years from now, thousands of people will be part of this community. Maybe people will look at the server and have no idea how small it once was. Maybe some of the people who join today will still be here years later. Maybe some will go on to build businesses, start projects, travel the world, create something incredible, or simply become good friends with people they would never have met otherwise.

I do not know what will happen.

Nobody does.

That is what makes starting something interesting.

Now I am trying to write a different chapter.

I cannot change what happened before me.

I cannot rebuild the village my father left.

But I can decide what comes next.

And maybe that is what this server really represents.

Not the end of a story.

A beginning.

A place built from the belief that when you lose one thing, you can still create something new.

A place where strangers can become friends.

A place where ideas can begin.

A place that can grow alongside the people who join it.
